Company History
Pee Bee Management Services Limited was incorporated in 1979, with the
primary objective of manufacturing all types of Soft Disposable tissue
paper products.
The Company is a Family-Owned business and is run by its Directors who are
specialized in their areas of expertise, supported by a highly trained
management Team.
The Company is a pioneer in the manufacture of Soft Disposable Tissue Paper Products
under the Brand Flora Tissues.
Due to high demand for most imported products since the introduction of the
open import trade policy in 1978, The Company initially imported finished
products like Toilet paper rolls, Paper serviettes and similar products for
the hotel & restaurant Industry. The rapid growth in sales of these
products encouraged the Board of Directors to set up an Industry in 1982.
The company had humble beginnings in the early eighties as the
production was on a small scale from
rented premises in Ratmalane, and their sales was
restricted to a limited channel of
distribution.
However by the late eighties, the Company expanded its product portfolio
and spread out the channels of distribution to cater to the Mass-Market,
Hotels and Institutional channels, and with the subsequent decision of
buying their own property in Homagama, to further
expand their production capacity
and market share, and as a result , the company
was successful in securing a high market share of 60% in the local market.
